Bangladesh has a population of 170 million.

After student protests that killed at least 32 people, according to RTE news, the Bangladeshi government appears to have severely limited mobile internet access. Two days prior, internet providers cut off access to Facebook, which was used by the protest campaign to organize demonstrations.

The protestors were marching against autocratic rule and specifically, calling for an end to a quota-system that reserves a large portion of civil service posts for specific groups, including children of veterans from the country’s 1971 liberation war against Pakistan.

This can happen anywhere. Be prepared by downloading essential apps that work offline, like our AI Chatbot that works offline and maps that work without internet.
