My father lived through war, was displaced from his home, and experienced hostile occupation and hyperinflation. In contrast, I was very fortunate to grow up in times of relative abundance, but his stories have always resonated strongly with me.
The rapid spread of COVID-19 and the subsequent global lockdowns showed us that calamities can strike unexpectedly and anywhere. Devastatingly quick wildfires, tsunamis and earthquakes in many parts of the world remind us of the unpredictability and severity of such disasters. These events highlight the importance of being prepared for situations where conventional communication and information sources might be unavailable.
That’s why I created Survivalist.ai, an AI assistant and chat app designed to function on your phone or tablet without an internet connection or reliance on external networks, offering useful information during extraordinary circumstances.
