The Survivalist.AI chat bot works offline, without the need for an internet connection.

The app comes with an AI model which requires 1.8GB of storage space on your device. This model contains all the knowledge the app uses to generate responses.

The app is designed to work completely offline. It doesn’t need an internet connection, cellular data, or any other network access to function. This means you can use it anywhere, even in areas without cell service or Wi-Fi.

Using the Settings

  1. Survivalist.AI offers customizable settings to enhance your experience and fine-tune the AI’s responses. Here’s how to use the main settings:
  2. Dark Mode / Light Mode
    • Located at the top of the settings menu
    • Toggle the switch to enable or disable dark mode
    • Dark mode can reduce eye strain in low-light environments and may conserve battery on some devices
  3. Temperature Slider (-1 to 1)
    • Adjusts the creativity and randomness of the AI’s responses
    • Lower values (towards -1) result in more focused, deterministic outputs
    • Higher values (towards 1) produce more diverse and creative responses
    • A setting of 0 balances between consistency and creativity
  4. Context Slider (up to 2048 tokens)
    • Controls the amount of previous conversation the AI considers when generating responses
    • Higher values allow for more coherent, context-aware conversations but may slow down response times
    • Lower values can lead to faster responses but with potentially less context awareness
    • Adjust based on your needs and device capabilities

To access these settings:

  1. Open the Survivalist.AI app
  2. Tap on the gear icon or “Settings” in the menu
  3. Adjust the sliders and switches as desired
  4. Your changes will be applied immediately
